The Building Regulations are guidelines on building safely and to a good standard. Building Control are less concerned about what you build and more concerned with how you build it. The Approved Documents cover all aspects of the build process such as structural stability, fire safety, thermal efficiency, damp proofing, drainage, etc.

Most extension works will require Building Regulation approval. We take care of the Building Regulation process for you. We are local authority Building Control Partners so have a dedicated Building Control office dealing with all our applications.

The Building Control process if often split into 2 parts, Plans Inspection where they verify the design, then Site Inspections where they visit site during the building works to ensure its being built in accordance with the regulations.
